What is MCR Social?

MCR Social is a new programme from GMYN and Manchester City Council as part of the Local Offer, aiming to provide supported social activities for disabled and neurodivergent young people aged 14-17 who live in Manchester.

We aim to offer a range for all interests, from video games, art & craft, sport sessions, and more!

How does it work?

  • We organise inclusive social activities for disabled and neurodivergent young people.

  • People registered to MCR Social can book onto activities from this website!

  • You can even arrange Travel Training to help you learn to travel to and from the venue!

How is it inclusive?

  • Sessions are supported by staff and volunteers at a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4

  • Accessibility information about the venue and activities are provided ahead of time on this website

  • Sessions are planned to be structured and coordinated.

  • We aim to include ‘chill out zones’ at most events, or at least reserved tables with ear defenders and fidget toys.
