What is MCR Social?
MCR Social is a new programme from GMYN and Manchester City Council as part of the Local Offer, aiming to provide supported social activities for disabled and neurodivergent young people aged 14-17 who live in Manchester.
We aim to offer a range for all interests, from video games, art & craft, sport sessions, and more!
How does it work?
We organise inclusive social activities for disabled and neurodivergent young people.
People registered to MCR Social can book onto activities from this website!
You can even arrange Travel Training to help you learn to travel to and from the venue!
How is it inclusive?
Sessions are supported by staff and volunteers at a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
Accessibility information about the venue and activities are provided ahead of time on this website
Sessions are planned to be structured and coordinated.
We aim to include ‘chill out zones’ at most events, or at least reserved tables with ear defenders and fidget toys.
