Inclusive Basketball

All skill levels :)

We’ll be playing a relaxed few hours of basketball (also option for football at the end if people are tired of basketball!)

Expected Group Size: 6-10 people

Timetable

  • 2-2.45pm:

    • Drills and exercises! Practice catching, throwing, dribbling and shooting.

  • Break - sit down, get some water!

  • 3-3.25pm

    • Game - we’’ put people into two teams to play a game.

  • Break - sit down, get some water!

  • 3.35-4pm

    • Game 2 / Football - we’ll put people into different teams for second game, or play football if people are tired of football.

  • There will be no background music, but there will be noise from players and the ball bouncing

  • The venue has typical sports hall lighting, which are fluorescent, but not too bright.

  • It will only be us in the sports hall, so there will be lots of space.

  • There is no designated Chill Out Zone, but we will bring ear defenders and fidget toys, and you can sit on the side any time you need a break.

  • There is wheelchair access, and wheelchair users can be supported by staff to be included in the game as much as desired (i.e. the option for 1-1 support from a staff member to help with travel, etc).

 

Parking

There is free parking outside the venue!

Snacks and Drinks

We will provide bottles of water for everyone, but if people want snacks they will need to bring their own.
