EXPECTED GROUP SIZE: 15-20
12-16 young people
4 team members (staff and volunteers)
People will be in smaller groups during activities, and can roam around and do what they want to.
We've hired a room at CONTACT Theatre to relax and play some games in on a Saturday afternoon, a chance to have fun and meet other young people! There will be three main areas:
Video Games - a Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart, and an Xbox with a range of games
Arts & Craft - there will be lots of drawing supplies, as well as a volunteer leading a fun game of “quickfire pictionary!”
Sports - we have some basketball hoops, a football goal, as well as table tennis!
Food & drink provided - Pizza for lunch, plus biscuits and sweets and crisps available.
There is background music playing low volume, as well as background chatter from other people talking
We have the venue to ourselves, but we are quite a large group.
The lights are quite low.
We are on the second floor, but can use a lift to get there, and there is an accessible toilet nearby.
There is a separate ‘chill out zone’ - there will be a sofa outside the room with fidget toys and ear defenders you can use at any time.
Timetable:
12pm: Arrival - join either video games, arts or sports areas!
12.30pm: Group Games - werewolves, wink murder, follow the leader - Trystan will lead us all through some fun group games!
1.30pm: Pizza time!
2pm: “explore” - we will play some more group games in the middle, but you can also just explore and do any of the activities in the venue.
2.50pm - Home time - we make our way downstairs
NOTE: you don’t have to join any activities, and can just play video games the whole time!
Please aim to arrive by 12pm and be ready for collection at 3pm.
